After I was diagnosed with cancer at age 25 (and again at 30), I suffered an emotional pain that completely changed my life. I went through my own therapy and learned how to heal & use healthy coping mechanisms. Besides therapy, listening to music felt healing. One of the songs I listened to was Blackbird by The Beatles. It resonated with me as I interpreted it as a song about bouncing back. You can feel broken, but it does not have to stay that way. “Take these broken wings and learn to fly” and “Take these sunken eyes and learn to see”. “Blackbird fly into the light of a dark black night”. The Blackbird song is the inspiration behind my private practice name, Blackbird Therapy.

I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help; however, I believe that change is possible. I am passionate about helping guide my clients through the process of hope, healing, and renewed faith.
