About me
The human spirit is beautifully resilient. I am a two-time cancer survivor. I know how it feels to be at your lowest; to have your life completely disrupted. I went from being healthy and active to a full-time cancer patient. I remember what it felt like to look so unhealthy (no eyebrows, hair, or eyelashes) that my very presence made people look away to avoid eye contact. I understand being in a dark place. I will work along side you with compassion and empathy. Working with me, you are safe to express yourself fully with no judgement.
I cannot remove the cause of your pain, but I can help guide adults and children through their fear, pain, and grief. I offer creative personalized solutions to lead you through your journey.

Tara Tooley, LCSW
My name is Tara Tooley and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Overland Park, Kansas. A master’s in social work was the “therapy” training model that I desired because not only will we look at your thoughts and feelings, but we will also examine your environment.
For example, you have probably heard the saying, “Change your thoughts, change your life.” This can be true, but this thinking is overly simplistic. I like to fully assess all the influences and aspects of your life to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help; however, I believe that change is possible. I am passionate about helping guide my clients through the process of hope, healing, and renewed faith.
